Happy Monday and February 1st!  It seems like forever that I’ve been around and I’m baaack!!  I’m still suffering from tech problems at home but, nothing will keep me from doing what I love to do.  I kicked it for my birthday and so did my son.  It took me almost a week to recover.  But now, that the holidays and January are over: It’s on!!

Did anybody tune in for the Grammys?  I’ve loved awards shows since being a little girl.  I think they used to be a lot more fun back in the day believe it or not.  I think that music was more honest back then.  Don’t get me wrong, I still catch most of them and participate in chopping them up with my friends on both Facebook and Twitter and we have big fun doing it. I try not to say anything that will hurt anyone’s feelings.  There were quite a few misses last night. I chose some looks that I liked for the most part coupled with some of the most popular ladies in the business.  Oh but you know #1 is like my fave singer, 4X Grammy Nominated (whaaat), Ledisi.  And yes, she deserves a Grammy because not only is she real, but she can out sang most of them. Her latest cd, Turn Me Loose, really got me through 2009!!!! 

Thanks for hanging in there with India’s World.  Don’t worry, nothing has changed.  I will continue to scour the world for the coolest things to see, do, and buy!!!!  Love is Love Enjoy the rest of the week!

Oh my! First of all I miss you guys.  This is a hectic week at India’s World.  My birthday is Friday and my oldest son’s birthday is Saturday.  So,  I’m running around trying to pull together two gatherings of friends & family, and I’m suffering from technical difficulties at home :-(.  My computer is down.  Also, I’m changing host companies this week.  Ya’ll gotta hang in there with your girl!  I’m going to try to be back on track no later than Tuesday 1/26.  Well like I said, it’s my birthday month!  We have just entered into The Age of Aquarius.  If ya’ll know any Aquarians personally, you know what that means:  expect the unexpected (in a good  and fun way of course).  So again, bare with me.  I’ll pull it together by next week.  Have a good one!!! Jay will be hitting the stage at MSG on March 2, 2010.  I bet Jay could probably sell out his home court for at least a week.  He will definitely make his rounds with the upcoming BP3  Tour.  I for one can’t wait until his 3/19 appearance in The Lou at Scottrade.  Nothing will keep me from making that date.  Anywho, New  Yorkers you can get your tickets up until tonight at 10pm EST before they go on sale to the general public tomorrow.  Price point here is $39.50 to $139.50, which  is not bad for a NY show.  The code for www.ticketmaster.com is HEBP3.   Enjoy!!!!

There’s something about this shoe. I’m not sure if it’s the beautiful gold leaf print and black mix, the platform, or the metal ankle cuff.  At five inches and deemed a bit high for my comfort level, it is indeed a beautiful shoe.  The price point here is $795 and available through www.net-a-porter.com.  Enjoy!!

The Color Purple will be revisiting The Lou next month, February 2-7 at The Fabulous Fox Theatre (I always wanted to say that).  I also hear another tour is about to head to Europe.  I plan to check the show in St. Louis again, because my kids haven’t seen it.  The St. Louis American is running a coupon for half price tickets on Tuesday-Thursday (Feb 2-4) for the 8 pm shows, which makes the price point $18.50-$32.00.  Please clap extra loud for The Church Ladies.  Kimberly Ann Harris (1st on the right) is one of my best girl’s sisters. Ms. Harris is a Broadway Diva (was a part of the original Broadway Cast.  Enjoy!!!!

Happy Monday all! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was cool. I think the temp in the Lou is like 29 or so today and it feels like a heatwave. I just wanted to make sure that you saw the video to Sade’s new release. On February 8, 2009, I will be at Target when it opens because I must have this cd. I don’t wanna preorder, because I wanna make sure I get it the day it comes out if not before. Sade was quoted saying that “I only make records when I feel I have something to say. I’m not interested in releasing music just for the sake of selling something. Sade is not a brand.” We’ll see if she feels the same way when this cd drops. It’s one of the most anticipated cd’s of the year. Enjoy!!!

If it’s not cold where you are, then you are indeed very lucky.  This is my first real winter back in The Lou (last year it was not nearly this cold) and trust it’s not pretty (or warm for that matter).  Today’s weekend fun is all about fun things to do inside:

• throw an impromptu get together, dinner party, cocktail party (fish fry)
• movie night
• game night
• wii super fitness party ( i want one of these)
• in-home massages
• in-home wine tastings

You get the idea.  Most things can be easily adjusted to include the kiddies.  Have a great weekend guys!!!  Oh and send me some ideas of things to do inside it’s supposed to be crazy cold in the Lou through next week.  Enjoy!!!
