Wow, it’s September 1, last month of Q3, that means this year will be a wrap before we know it.  I came across this place this weekend.  An upscale public pool on the beach that’s perfect for the entire family.  The Annenberg Public Beach House in Santa Monica is a small slice of old Hollywood glamour,fun, and a perfect place to spend the day with your girls, a date, and/or the kids.  It is the former mansion of a 1930’s Paris Hilton type, Marion Davies.  According to the New York Times, she was a party girl, best known for dating William Randolph Hearst.  He purchased the then 118 room mansion for her (those were the good old days when guys were guys and took care of their business lol).  She held fabulous parties for the rich and famous weekends at a time.  Today, it’s the type of place that I love to go and take my kids too, because they indeed like to do everything just like I do.  You can spend the day hanging out, swimming in the pool, on the beach, and checking out the whales.  Located on Santa Monica Bay at 415 Pacific Coast Highway, the Annenberg Community Beach House at Santa Monica State Beach is open to all, no membership required (fabulous).  The beach house also has a cafe and offers yoga and concerts on culture Tuesdays.  The pool is open daily through Labor Day and then weekends only through September.  Price point is $10 for adults and $4 for the kiddies.  For more information and reservations (they are suggested but, you can take a chance and show up): www.beachouse.smgov.net.  Enjoy!!!

Vegan fashions are picking up steam especially in the LA market.  I love this look by Stella McCartney.  Stella McCartney, according to the LATimes, is the highest profile designer of vegan fashions (she has a capsule vegan collection and does not use leather or fur in any of her collections).  Clothing qualifies to be vegan when non-animal products (ie wool, silk, leather and etc) are used to construct the garment. Stella utilizes eco friendly and organic materials throughout her denim, accessories, addidas, and lingerie collections.  I LOVE this tunic!!!!  This is my look right here and I’d rock it in the office to after work functions.  There’s nothing like black tights and something cute like this here tunic for the fall and winter.
